Madden Career Toolkit Requirements

MADCAT will NOT work for IP-to-IP leagues where the only data you have is gamelogs!

Note: MADCAT is intended for a more advanced user (with BT-EZFM being intended for those not comfortable with web design), but don't let that discourage you from trying it out. The default installation of MADCAT requires no knowledge of PHP or HTML. If you get it installed, but find it much too complex to administrate, EZFM and BT-EZFM still offer great features for a franchise.

Firstly, you'll need a copy of Madden 2004 or Madden 2005. You'll also need the franchise logs that it outputs.
MADCAT is a web-based utility and requires the following from your webhost:
  • PHP Support
  • MySQL Support (you need permission to create and modify tables. ability to create databases is optional)
If you don't know if your host (or a potential host) supports these things, contact the administrator to find out. Additionally, the admin area uses IFrames, so you'll need a browser that supports them (all recent browsers do)

The following hosts have been tested with MADCAT 1.0 through 1.6: If you've gotten MADCAT to successfully work with a different public host, please let me know, so I can add it to the above list.
