| Style:
The playbook is balanced, but the running game is more
developed. The HB, FB, and QB (even the WR a little) all
carry the ball, with the QB option play featured a little
bit. Running is generally basic - you won't see an array
of the fancy double handoffs, reverses, and misdirection
stuff that is in my Wing-T. This
playbook is more similar to the Spread
offense, actually, the main differences are just the personnel
package (this offense makes use of a true FB), the QB's
mobility, and the formations. |
Notes |
The
QB, FB, and RB all contribute to the running game. The
QB features a wider-than-usual selection of running
plays, including several option plays. Madden isn't
really designed for this, so I tried to keep them to
a minimun. The base formation is I-backs, the offense
includes a doulbe TE set, and a 3WR set, as well as
the original. Motion is used to modify formations forther.
Also in the offense is a Maryland I, with three backs
lined up in an I, for use as a goalline/short-yardage
set, mostly. All formations include the standard fare
of running plays, including basic dives, blasts, tosses,
counters, and stretches (off-tackle, kind of). New is
a Sprint Draw - a quick little handoff, as the QB sort
of rolls out. Not perfect, I had to tinker a bit with
custom routes, and there are still some little problems.
Passing game is pretty standard through my playbooks,
you'll see some motions, basic routes, mostly quick
passing plays, with a lot of crossing, and routes for
the backs out of the backfield. Several screens are
in, including a middle screen. |
