Here are my slider settings.
I tried to achieve the closest to actual NFL stats as possible.

Skill Level: All Pro
Quarter Length: I use 12 minute quarters for CPU vs CPU testing.

There are still too many wild short (sometimes only 6 yards)punts with low and average accuracy punters, even though the slider is maxed out.
There are also too many missed extra points with low and average accuracy kickers.
These are problems with the game itself.

I wish I could get punt kicking and punt returns to work better, but thats EA Sports job to fix! My punters regress instead progress, even with a great special teams coach rated high for punters and kickers.

I also wish EA would make more short pass routes, and also make screen passes more effective.

lowering def awareness helps with more defensive penalties.
You will notice more defensive passing interference, encroachment, and facemask calls now.

I am surprised no one has commented on my slider set.
I worked night and day for 2 months on them.

They may be the best coach mode, cpu vs cpu, human vs cpu, sliders on the internet, including NFL stats slider set.

Quick question...

How are you getting your stats from Madden?

Are you simming any games or playing out all games CPU vs CPU?

I played all games cpu vs cpu, day and night for weeks on end.

I am playing COD4 now a days, but I thought people would want to use my sliders after so much time was put into perfecting them.


I think I am through with EA Sports, they dont care about us PC players.

I think I will wait for their exclusive NFL liscence to run out,and then support the competition.

If nobody else will say it, I will: I appreciate the hard work Blitz. I'll try them out and tell you how they work for me.

Alright played one game. Freaking Gould missed a 47 yarder to tie the game with time expiring. That's a good game in my book though. Will definitely continue using these sliders and once I get a couple more under my belt, I can give some more impressions.

Oh hehe, I played 1st game on normal clock. I knew something was wrong when the score ended up 54-26. LOL

I'm trying again with accelerated clock ON.

Dont forget teams like the patriots put up some big scoring games this year for real.
Its not uncommon to have big scoring games.
Especially with Madden.

Alright quick comment on the sliders: my secondary can't stop anything. Maybe it's cause it's no good, but Anthony Wright came in and lit me up with a bunch of nondescript receivers. Basically any play-action results in wide open receivers. Ronde Barber on my team also routinely gets owned on man coverage.

But sliders still looking good in my book.

Hasnt this always been a problem with madden year after year?

Secondary coverage is always one of the hardest things in Madden to get right, it's highly dependent on difficulty level and the defensive awareness slider. If I had to pick one slider as the most important in any set, it'd be the defensive awareness slider. Too low and the secondary plays terrible, too high and your linebackers are godlike and running outside is impossible.

One note though when testing sliders, make sure you play out several games and several team combinations. It could just be a fluke that your secondary got lit up in that one particular game.

Great job on these. I'll post more logs when I can. I think I finally found a set that gives great balance and the fun factor is there also. I was the dolphins in this game.

Thanks, but I cant make a proper slider set until EA gives us a dedicated slider for fumbles, and a dedicated slider for pancakes.
Also, it would help if the sliders for penalties were more sensitive.

I can, and have already, made a slider set where the number of fumbles and pancakes are perfect, unfortunately I had to give up something to acheive that.
Raising the tackle slider to achieve more fumbles makes other more important parts of the game out of balance.
I could do better if the sliders worked in .5 increments instead of 1.

I reccomend playing in bad weather more often by manually choosing the weather, if you want the proper amount of fumbles.

It would also help if EA put in more short route passing plays, and made more screen passes, and made them work better. They need to fix the wild out of bounds punting and the too often missed extra point by low to mid accuracy punters and kickers.

This slider set was tested 100% by CPU vs CPU, with every team in the NFL.
It always seems to play different unfortunately when a human calls the plays. I dont know why, but many people believe EA programed the AI team to cheat against a human, even on All Pro level. Or maybe we are more predictable, and the AI is more random in play calling.

Here is a pre-season game I played against the Patriots using 13 minute quarters. I use 13 minutes because I make many adjustments before the snap using more time off the clock.
This was a very enjoyable defensive game, and I probably would have won if Jacobs didnt fumble near the goal line late in the game.

I started my dolphins franchise with this slider set. I gotta say that out of all the ones I've tried these are the best. Good work with these, I wouldn't change a thing if I were you.

Thanks, I am not going to change anything. I cant make a better set than these.
I tried so many different combinations, these are the best I could do unless EA Sports makes better slider adjustments for me to work with.

I gotta agree with you Blitz. Your sliders are pretty good for Superstar mode as well.
